Happy Birthday to Me! My trip to the Benefit Bar at Ulta

I spent two weeks in desperate need of an eyebrow fix. Usually I get them threaded, but at my last trip to Ulta the sales associate told me I get free eyebrow waxing on my birthday so I let them become equivalent to Burt’s (of Sesame Street fame) until my birthday.

When I arrived, Whitney, one of the brow experts, completed a brow mapping to get the best shape for my face.

The end result: I really liked it. I wouldn’t do my eyebrows so thick but I love the shaping and the wax didn’t hurt at all, especially compared to getting the brows threaded (I know it’s hard to tell in those pics the before and after).

 

 

Price for brow waxing is $20, unless it’s your birthday.

Blazer: Same one as last week. From Heritage.
Pink silk blouse: JCrew (I got it at a great discount).
Bubble necklace: JCrew (Another great discount, but I suggest it to everyone).
Jeans: JCrew. Yes, JCrew tends to throw up all over me.

I felt like such a girly girl this day. I was getting out of work with my Kate Spade bag resting on my forearm, with Starbucks and Kate Spade covered iPhone in hand. I felt like such a snob, but I looked cute.

I’m leaving after work today to visit Mollie so my goal was to be comfy and warm. It’s always cold at my office and on the train, but this LOFT jacket is soft and doesn’t wrinkle when it’s thrown in a bag at the end of the day. Also, I hate photos taken of myself unless Megan takes them.
