Anything peplum is supposed to be in for spring and summer, and I feel like I should follow trend. It’s just so cute. I haven’t found anything in the stores I like, but maybe that’s because I only work at one retail store and that’s where my money goes. But, I found this outfit and it’s totally lustful. Hello, beautiful peplum top!
Peplum makes any woman have a feminine figure. I like this one because of the stripes, but I have seen some pretty floral ones too!
How to get this outfit
I like how the stripes are a little more subtle. You can find this one at Bluefly.com for $58.
I may have an allegiance to JCrew, but I think every woman may need these Minnie pants. They’re your classic Audrey Hepburn pants that stretch and look good on just about everyone — unless you have cottage cheese thighs like moi. You can get them in different colors too! They can be yours for the price of $89.50, unless you’re a student or teacher.
I found this one at Anthropologie.com. I love it because of all the colors. Then you can really wear it with any of the color Minnie pants. And it’s not so long that it will compete with the peplum. ($58)
I have options for you on this one so it’s not just two items from J.Crew. The Selima Sun for J. Crew Belle Sunglasses are amazing. They honestly look good on everyone, and they come in black and this fun green color. Only bad thing is that they’re a little pricey if you’re poor like me ($118).
Or you can get some Ray Ban knock offs at Target for $10. They are pretty cute too!
As always, Happy Shopping!
Things to Celebrate
It’s Morse Code Day. What if that was the only way we communicated? I think it would be pretty awesome even though I don’t know any Morse code.
According to Wikipedia, this is the day Beethoven composed his first piece, Fur Elise.
It’s also Tell A Story Day! Makes me wish I was with my grandparents to hear a new story.
News to Know
This is a little old, but it’s interesting. A teacher, Emily Herx, is suing the St. Vincent de Paul School and the the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend for firing her after partaking in IVF to get pregnant. Apparently other ways of making babies isn’t highly accepted in the Catholic faith. (CNN)
A Swiss woman died from starvation because she was on an sunlight-only diet. This woman was following breatharianism, where people don’t believe they need any food or drink to survive. Three other people have died from this as well. (Gawker)
Looks like another Secret Service sex scandal has arrived. They are now checking if secret service men hired prostitutes in El Salvador during a trip last year. Prostitution is legal in El Salvador, but should these men have brought these women to their hotel rooms while on a business trip with the President? (HuffPo)
